Shipping Policies Return Policy Pre-Ordered and Unavailable Items Privacy Policy Shipping Policies Continental United States (48 contiguous) Thought Hammer charges a flat rate of $8.00 for shipping on all orders to a single address that total less than $125.00 (before tax). Customers are charged per order total, not per game. For orders that total $125.00 or more, shipping is free to single addresses within the 48 contiguous states. Please note: An order will not ship as items are available. All games must be all in stock before the order will ship. Splitting the order into multiple shipments will incur a fee of $8 per shipment of games totaling less than $125. For shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Military addresses (APO/FPO), we cannot offer our flat-rate and free shipping. Please see the following sections of our shipping policies for these destinations. We use FedEx Ground and Home Delivery for our domestic shipments. Once FedEx picks up a given order, shipping time normally takes 2-4 business days. Since FedEx will not deliver to P.O. Boxes, we must have a physical address for shipping. No signature is required for delivery, and FedEx Ground/Home Delivery usually leaves packages on the doorstep when no one answers the door. When your order is scheduled for shipment, you will receive an email containing your tracking information. You may then track your item(s) at the FedEx website or by using the "Track This Shipment" link on your Order Information page. For further details concerning FedEx policies, please visit the FedEx web site. If you do not plan to be home to receive your delivery, by accepting FedEx Home Delivery you agree to allow the FedEx Ground/Home Delivery contracted driver to complete the delivery in your absence and waive your right to any claims of liability against FedEx and Thought Hammer for lost or stolen items, or items damaged by bad weather conditions. If you have a preferred area that you would like your package left in your absence, please include details in the "order comment" window during checkout. We will include the instructions on the shipping label. It is at the discretion of the driver whether the request will be followed. Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico We use USPS Priority Mail or Parcel Post for shipping to our customers in Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Shipping to these locations is dependent upon weight and will be quoted to you during checkout. Unfortunately, due to the cost of shipping to non-continental locations, we are unable to offer our flat-rate or free shipping options. Military We use USPS Priority Mail or Parcel Post shipping for our military customers, regardless of the where they are stationed. Please note that FedEx Ground will not ship to military addresses. As such, Thought Hammer provides two shipping options: Priority Mail and Standard Post. We have had feedback from some of our military customers that Priority Mail tends to be handled better and arrives faster. However, neither option provides tracking, and once the package leaves the USPS and is handed over to military mail, there is no resolution for damage or loss. International We ship internationally to all countries that can both send and receive payments through PayPal. This covers all of North America, most of South America and Europe, as well as several countries in Asia. Given that we use PayPal for our payment processing for international orders, shipments are limited to the countries that PayPal services. If you reside in one of these countries, you may create your account and order directly from our site. We use the United States Postal Service for all international orders, including Canada and offer the following two options: We recommend Express Mail International (formerly GEM) which includes on-line tracking, expedited problem resolution, and insurance. Priority Mail International (formerly APP) does not include tracking, and is likely to be delayed in customs. We require the purchase of insurance on PMI shipments. We are not responsible for any delay, damage, or loss of shipment of USPS PMI shipments. We can file a claim after the shipment is "missing" for a minimum of one month, and the claim may take up to one year to resolve. Reimbursements cannot be made until the USPS has concluded that the shipment has been lost. If you have any deadline at all for receiving your order (gaming event, birthday gift, other gift occasion), we strongly recommend choosing Express Mail International for the shipping option. If Priority Mail International is chosen, please be aware that once the package leaves the United States, Thought Hammer cannot find out what is causing any delays in delivery. It is the customer's responsibility to follow up on any delays by notifying the local post office or the countries custom's department. Please Note: Due to the need to calculate shipping costs for each order (as opposed to flat-rate shipping), we do not allow "add-ons" to International orders. If you have an order waiting for shipment and would like to add more games, you will need to place a new order and request the two orders to be shipped together. We apologize for this inconvenience but we would be unable to properly account for weight differences when adding games to existing International order. We will refund any significant difference in shipping charges. For all international shipments, the recipient of the shipment is responsible for all customs duties and taxes on the shipment. These fees vary from country to country, so please contact your local post office or customs office for more information. Please note, we must by law provide an accurate invoice and also an accurate description of the contents for customs checks. We cannot claim that the shipment is a gift - it must be labeled as merchandise. Unfortunately, due to the high cost of International shipping, we are unable to offer flat-rate or free shipping for international orders. Return Policy Please contact us before returning any item. We happily accept returns of unopened (shrink wrap must be intact) merchandise within 30 days of the purchase date. Customers are responsible for shipping costs on any returns, and will be refunded the purchase price along with any sales tax. Shipping charges will not be refunded. After we have received the returned item, please note that refunds may take up to two business days to process. If a new game has missing or damaged game components, please contact the game's publisher first. They are generally very helpful and willing to resolve any production problems. To find their contact information, please visit their website, which is normally found in the right-hand column of the game's information page on our website. If the publisher is unable or unwilling to help you, please feel free to contact us. If your ding-n-dent game has damaged game components, please contacts us. Sometime it is hard to tell when the contents are damaged, and we do not mean to sell a game with damaged components. Before returning an item, please email us to receive a return merchandise authorization (RMA) number. In the email, please include your name, the email address of your Thought Hammer account, your order number, the name of the game you wish to return, and the reason for your return. We will not accept any returns without an RMA number. Pre-Ordered and Unavailable Items If your order contains an out-of-stock or pre-order item, the entire order will be delayed until all items are available for shipment. If we are notified that the estimated pre-order arrival date will be delayed, we will update the web site immediately with the new date. We will not send out individual email notifications to customers.  Please check the list of release dates for pre-orders on our home page frequently for date changes if your order contains a pre-order game. Payment is processed automatically though the website at the time that you place your order.  Payment is to reserve your "place" in the line of customer orders that include the same pre-order or back order game.  All payments are processed through PayPal and FirstData. Thought Hammer does not store any credit card information, and therefore cannot process charges at a later date. Orders are processed by the date they are received. Pre-paying reserves your position in line for the pre-order or back order game. It also reserves any in-stock games in your order during the waiting period for the unavailable game(s). When a game is low in inventory, there is a chance that two customers will place the game in their carts at the same time. Once the first customer confirms his order, the game will be removed from inventory. Please pay close attention during the check-out process. All games that are not in current inventory will be flagged with three red asterisks, and a comment will appear stating that these games are not available at the time of order. Also, if your order includes a game that is not currently available for immediate shipment, you will receive an automated email upon order confirmation. This email will list all games in the order that are not in stock. Your order will not ship until all games in the order are available. If you decide that you would like your in-stock games before all games in your order are available, please contact us and we will discuss your options on how to arrange shipment. Thought Hammer is not responsible for delays in the release of pre-order games, or for games that go out of print. Placing a pre-order or back-order does not guarantee availability. We are at the mercy of game publishers and distributors for game availability. We update our site as soon as we receive and confirm news that a game has been delayed or has become unavailable. We will not notify each customer individually of a game delay, but we will notify customers if their order contains a game that has become unavailable. On rare occasions, inventory errors occur. If our inventory program shows a game is in stock on your order confirmation email, and we discover that it is actually unavailable, we will contact you to resolve the situation. We will offer one of the following two options: Remove the out-of-stock game and provide you a 5% discount coupon off of your next order. Ship the out of stock item separately when it becomes available. (This will not involve any extra cost to the customer.) These guarantees do not apply to Ding & Dent games since they are very limited in number and not always available. Privacy Policy Customer Email Information We at Thought Hammer take your privacy and security very seriously. We do not share or sell any customer account information. We use email addresses to send order confirmations, payment confirmations, order status updates, and shipping notifications. If you do not enter a valid email address, you will not receive any of these important notifications. Some email providers have spam or junk filters that block our automated email notifications, especially aol.com, gmail.com and hotmail.com. If you have not received an order confirmation within one hour of placing your order, please notify us. Thought Hammer will not send any soliciation emails (i.e. Newsletters) unless the customer opts to receive these in their account options, or during account creation. All such emails will contain a link which allows the customer to unsubscribe at anytime. Customer Phone Information We do not use phone numbers for routine customer contact. FedEx requires a phone number for delivery. They need a contact number in case there are problems encountered during the delivery of your package. Please provide a valid 10-digit daytime phone number. Customer Payment Information Both payment options on our site, PayPal and First Data, use enhanced security to prevent fraud. For PayPal payments, all credit card, echeck, PayPal account numbers, or customer payment information are stored on PayPal's secure servers. PayPal uses the most secure methods of data encryption and fraud prevention to insure that no one, not even Thought Hammer, will have access to your payment information. Please see PayPal's Privacy Policy for more information. When selecting the First Data payment option, all credit card information is transferred via a secure connection to First Data, who then processes and stores all transaction details on their secure servers. Thought Hammer does not keep any of your credit card information on our servers. Please be assured that Thought Hammer will never share any of our customer's information with others.
