The first expansion, A Darkness Awakened explodes onto the Kingdom Hearts scene, bringing with it well-known Disney villains such as Hook and Malificent, new Riku player character cards, new Friends from the Final Fantasy universe such as Leon, and 128 new cards including super-rare foil exclusives, with no unfoiled equivalents.

These boosters contain 10 cards of your favorite Trading Card Game. Each pack has 1 Rare, 3 Uncommon and 6 Common cards with a 1–in–3 chance at a Super Rare being included in the pack.

This new release was previously announced as Dawn of a Friend — it has been retitled.
