Variants of the game known as Shogi in Japan, Shatrana in Arabic and Xiangqi in China, among others, have been played for centuries.
1,300 years later this new variant known as Knights Domain refocuses the ancient challenge. Using the same strategic objective as chess, Knight Domain applies an intense use of the tactical elements of multiple knights to engage a rapidly unfolding, decisive battle of wits and cunning.
The rules are simple: Using only the knights (and collateral pawns), checkmate the opposing king, who is limited in movement to a six square area known as the King's Vale. Concentrating play on the nimble moves of coordinated knights results in a furious fray that usually leads to vanquishment in 30 minute or less with no quarter given-- and none expected!
